Aspect: repository
As member of workgroup 2 in the Aspect project, I set up an Learning Resource Exchange repository. This LRE repository collects metadata about the learning objects in KlasCement. These descriptions (metadata) are structured according to standards. These standards are described in the Learning Resource Exchange Metadata Application Profile.
The LRE application profile uses the IEEE LOM Metadata standard and the IMS LODE Information for Learning Object eXchange specification (ILOX).
The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) specification is used to harvest the metadata.
